The Effects of PERSICAE SEMEN Aquacupunture on the Intravascular Coagulation Induced by Endotoxin in Rats




Abstract
The aim of this experiment was to study the effects of PERSICAE SEMEN aquacupunture in the meridian points Ta£àicho£þng(LR3) and Zho£þngfe£þng(LR4) on the intravascular coagulation induced by endotoxin in rats.
Experimental group was divided into 1st day group and 2nd day group. And these groups are divided into 4 groups ; Control group, PERSICAE SEMEN aquacupuncture group treated on the Blank loci(Sample I), Zho£þngfe£þng loci(SampleII) and Ta£àicho£þng loci(SampleIII).
Then hematocrit rate, the number of leukocyte, hemoglobin and platelet, prothrombin time, concentration of fibrinogen and FDP(Fibirin-fibrinogen degradation products) were measured.
The results were as follows;
1. The number of leukocyte was significantly increased in the 1st day¢¥s Sample I and SampleII, and it was significantly decreased in the 2nd day¢¥s Sample I and Sample II as compared with the control group.
2. The rate of hematocrit was significantly decreased in the 2nd day¢¥s experimental groups as compared with the control group.
3. The platelet count was significantly increased in the 1st day¢¥s Sample I , 1st day`s SampleIII, and all of the 2nd day¢¥s experimental groups as compared with the control group.
4. The concentration of fibrinogen was significantly increased in the 1st day¢¥s SampleIII, 2nd day¢¥s SampleII and 2nd day¢¥s SamplelII as compared with the control group.
5. The prothrombin time was significantly decreased in the 1st day¢¥s SampleIII as compared with the control group.
6. FDP levels were significantly decreased in all of the experimental groups as compared with the control group.
